Which NEC edition do the calculators and tables use?
NEC 2023 (NFPA 70). Adoption varies by jurisdiction — many areas are still on the 2017 or 2020 cycle and add local amendments. The Per-State Rules section shows the adopted edition for each state, and you should always confirm with your local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
Is this a substitute for the code book or an engineer?
No. The app is a field aid for qualified people. It is not a substitute for the adopted code, local amendments, or a licensed design and plan review. Verify everything against your adopted NEC edition and AHJ, and follow NFPA 70E safety practices.
Does my data leave my phone?
Your jobs, photos, estimates, and checklists are stored locally on your device. The only thing sent off-device is the text you type into the AI assistant, which is processed by Cloudflare Workers AI to generate a response. See our Privacy Policy.
The AI assistant gave an answer — can I trust it?
Treat AI answers as a knowledgeable starting point, not a final authority. They can be incomplete or wrong. Always verify code requirements against the actual NEC and your AHJ before relying on them.
Do the calculators work without internet?
Yes. All calculators, code tables, per-state data, checklists, troubleshooting, and learning content work fully offline. Only the AI assistant needs a connection.
What devices are supported?
iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
